1. Upload all files and folders in the main /files/ folder.
2. Go to Site Admin >>>  System Admin >>> Panels: Add New Upper Center Panel
3. Select fp_news_panel from the drop down panel list
4. Select Display Panel on all pages.
5. In the Panel Restriction Text box type /home.php and select the checkbox for Include on these pages.
6. Save and enable panel
7. Now go to Admin >>> Settings >>> Main and change Site Opening Page to home.php
8. Done, the news panel will now display on the new home.php

PLEASE NOTE: If using themes with a small set width you might have to exclude panels on home.php
